The Pineapple Projects Story
In July of 2019, I decided I wanted to use my passion of home staging and interior design to help people in our community that have fallen on hardships and need a helping hand turning their house into a home. Every family deserve a beautifully designed space. Instead of “just any hand-me-downs”, I wanted to create thoughtful spaces that families can take pride in and grow. I found that this type of outreach was needed in our community. It would take a lot of moving parts logistically and I felt led to “be still” and let the pieces fall into place.
When COVID-19 hit, my mom and I made over 1,000 masks for our community. At times people would give me donations to help buy extra supplies and I set aside the donated money.
I read a post about a family who had lost their jobs and sold their furniture to get through a rough patch. They needed everything to fill their home back up again. I knew I could help! I called several friends and we reached out to our community with the list of items to turn their house back into a home and within 6 days we filled their walls with amazing donated items. I was able to use the “mask money” I had been saving for any extras we needed.
In just a few short months, we have helped a number of families have a fresh start on life again! I know now more than ever most of us need and want to be a part of something bigger than ourselves. The desire to love on our neighbor spread happiness, and give back is the heartbeat of a lot of people! I’m forever grateful to this community's support for The Pineapple Projects!
